What is it about?

Polymorphism refers to the crystallization of an organic molecule in different crystal structures (Tsurietal.,2020). Each polymorph has different physical and chemical properties, includingstability, compressibility, flexibility, dissolution rateandsolubility. Therefore, polymorph control is asignificant issue in various fields, such as the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries. Here we study polymorphs control and searching new possible polymorphs.

Why is it important?

It is about stability of different polymorphs of di-p-tolyl disulfide, which have many applications in or in preparation of lubricants, agriculture pesticides, medicines, energy storage devices, photovoltaic, etc.

Perspectives

Recently disulfides attracted many scientists and chemists to be implied in next generation energy storage devices.
