What is it about?

The technology and science behind the Lab-on-Mobile-Device platform is based on proprietary Mobile Image Ratiometry algorithms created and published by Dr. Don Cooper (Cooper et al., 2011) and were developed by Dr. Don Cooper at the Molecular Neurogenetics and Optophysiology laboratory at the University of Colorado, Boulder Institute for Behavioral Genetics. Mobile Image Ratiometry is an image analysis algorithm that converts the qualitative analog visual signal on a Lateral Flow Test Strip to a normalized and calibrated digital signal that is then compared to an established standard curve validated for each Lateral Flow Test Strip. Analysis is performed instantly and a quantitative or qualitative result and report is provided to the user. The Lab-on-Mobile-Device platform dramatically improves the quantification of Rapid Diagnostic Strips by increasing sensitivity by up to ~100 fold making it comparable to lab-based enzyme linked immuno assays (ELISA).
