Why is it important?

It shows how a complex public health problem could be resolved with known interventions like mass dog vaccination.

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also lead to an important disease contacting me and ultimately to a greater involvement in neglected topical disease research in Bangladesh.
