Why is it important?
Most of the literature about secure detention is about group intervention and staff training. This case study shows that individual intervention is feasible and sometimes warranted for youth with longer lengths of stay.
Perspectives
I care deeply about the juvenile justice population, and I am happy to share clinical insights from working with these youth. They deserve the best care, and in my experience, evidence-based practice can provide best care in the detention setting.
