Why is it important?
We find that the principle of forgiveness is valuable across Muslim and Western culture and, therefore, should be considered when resolving conflict between these communities. We also suggest that this shared principle, among others, might be an inlet to advancing conflict resolution and identifying a mutually acceptable approach to this end.
Perspectives
Forgiveness is but one mutually acceptable principle that spans cultures and should be given consideration when trying to promote and advance conflict resolution at the interstate level.
