What is it about?
Parental educational attainment and involvement within and outside the home are associated with children’s language and reading outcomes, particularly for children in socioeconomically disadvantaged contexts. Parents with more education in disadvantaged contexts may be more aware of the importance of providing educational resources for their children, which, in turn, is associated with children’s language and reading outcomes.
