What is it about?
This study sought to understand barriers and facilitators to disability disclosure during and/or when applying to graduate school. We drew from a series of Tweets to highlight commonly faced issues that Twitter users reported.

Why is it important?
There is currently limited to no understanding of the factors graduate students and applicants consider when determining when/whether to disclose a disability. These factors are important for students to be aware of, but also for institutional leaders who are designing policies and practices with this group in mind.
Perspectives
Writing this article was extremely important to both authors, given our own identification with this group of people. We wish there had been more guidance when we were navigating our own disability disclosure, and we hope this piece will be helpful for other graduate students in the future.
