Health Inequities in Refugee and Immigrant Communities

What is it about?

This article analyzes the intersections of social and economic determinants of health, social structures, and structural violence that have an effect on health inequities for refugee, immigrant, and migrant communities. There is a focus on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) refugee, immigrant, and migrant communities in the United States and globally. The article discusses a need for interdisciplinary and international collaboration and partnership to address the impact on these communities during hypercomplex emergencies. The article discusses this by discussing select United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Psychology and interdisciplinary work.
