What is it about?

At the time of writing, the discussion of source enrichment in subduction zones by fluids vs. melts was a hot topic and the relatively primitive basalts of the Macolod Corridor provided a good chance to discuss this, as the melts were not highly modified by various fractionation processes.

Perspectives

This is the last of a series of papers on the primitive basats from the Macolod Corridor in Central Luzon, the Philippines providing trace element, including REE data, isotopic compositions and data on mineral chemistry. Writing this paper also led to close co-operation and friendship with the late Tsan-Yao Frank Yang.
