What is it about?

Dance movement therapy in cancer treatment: a. theoretical foundation b. scientific findings c. application during different treatment phases and presentation of corresponding treatment goals. Findings: 1. dance movement therapy can be provided in all treatment phases in order to improve emotional, social, physical, and spiritual outcomes of cancer patients. 2. Further randomized controlled trials are needed to evaluate the effects of specific dance movement therapy interventions regarding different treatment phases on various symptoms and men and children.

Dance movement therapy seems to reduce stress, fosters a sense of integration and empowers the clients over their bodies and their lives

Perspectives

My personal perspective is that dance movement therapy can add contribute to improve the quality of life of people with cancer.
