What is it about?
As part of a scholarship funded by the Robert Bosch Foundation the authors wanted to find out at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm how interprofessional learning and practice is possible.

Why is it important?
If we want to meet the health care needs of the future we should look at the issue of interprofessional learning or practice. Interprofessional collaboration in health care does not happen on its own, it should be offered early and practiced as a lifelong process.
Perspectives
We were able to experience and observe IPE in several training centres in the Stockholm area. In all centres, we met highly committed and enthusiastic Swedish colleagues. It takes people like them to bring the idea of IPE to (practice) life.
