What is it about?
Micro-electrofusion in combination with nurse culture used to regenerate intraspecific somatic hybrids in Nicotiana tabacum - initial results on segregation of organelle
Featured Image
Why is it important?
The new technique described which combines microelectrofusion with nurse culture makes it much easier to use such protocol for better understanding organelle segregation, to be used in cell reconstruction ot partial genome transfer in plants.
Perspectives
The technique described is not easy for anyone but once establishe it can be used for many basic and applied studies in plant protoplast including but not restricted to cell reconstruction, organelle transfer and segregation, organelle gene studies, virus infection etc.
