What is it about?

We used electron microscopes to observed stacks of light emitters very close together and could distinguish their light emission and resolve the emission wavelength of each individual emitter

Why is it important?

This was the first demonstration of such high resolution in light detection in a CL experiment. Resolution was about 5nm and objects about 2 nm apart could be separated.

Perspectives

I consider this paper a milestone in the field as it shows there is much to do with efficient light detection in electron microscopes.
