What is it about?

In this work we present accurate experimental density data of three mixtures of carbon dioxide and methane.

Why is it important?

These data are of special importance for the development of equations of state of gas mixtures containing carbon dioxide and methane. Although there are accurate equations of state for natural gas mixtures, the significant difference in composition of new fuels (biogas, coal mine methane...) makes it necessary to test these equations with new experimental data of mixtures containing major components of these non-conventional fuels.
