What is it about?

The all-dielectric metasurfaces comprise periodic array of silicon-on-insulator nanorods. The prominent optical resonances enhance fluorescence (FL) intensity. But there has been no paper, to our knowledge, to show the high performance as biosensors. This is the first report on all-dielectric metasurface FL sensors.

Why is it important?

The metasurface biosensors exhibit practically high enough performance to detect antibody and antigen such as cancer marker CEA and p53 antibody.
