What is it about?

Here we made a transparent membrane so that we could see inside during gas permeation. It allowed us to extract permeation rates with unrivalled precision and at very low driving forces.

Why is it important?

It is important because it allows us to see inside a working membrane for the first time and extract information that is very difficult to access through routine methods.
