What is it about?
Here we developed a sorbent for carbon dioxide that, for the first time, used a specific facet of the crystalline material to enhance carbon dioxide uptake.

Why is it important?
We managed to increase the capacity for carbon dioxide and clearly showed the important contribution of this surface for this application. In the future, this will allow rational design of calcium oxide sorbents.
