What is it about?

This research examined the relationship between time perspective and adult attachment quality with a specific interest on the balanced time perspective (BTP). The results show that deviations from the optimal time perspective was related to higher romantic anxiety and avoidance, and security of father attachment.

Why is it important?

Our findings demonstrate the relationship between balanced time perspective and attachment quality suggesting that balanced time perspective is likely to develop from a more positive perception of both present (peers) and past (parents) interpersonal relationships.

Perspectives
