What is it about?

The relationship between hyperglycemia during pregnancy and altered reproductive function of male offspring has been established by researchers. There are critical periods in pregnancy during which developing fetal tissues are susceptible to modifications by insults such as hyperglycemia. The work shows the effects of maternal hyperglycemia at different gestation period on reproductive functions of male offspring of Wistar rats
