In this paper the authors discuss how executive coaching as a leadership development intervention can be applied in family business setting in order to enhance the liklihood of effective succession planning & leadership transition.

Why is it important?

A family business is a major component and contributor to world's economy and has uinique characteristics that must be carefuly considered when applying executive coaching intervention in order to maximize its potential benefits. Additionally, many family business are facing a succession challenges. Overconing this unique challenges is essential for the sustainability of these businesses and smart application of executive coaching may assist in increasing the effectiveness of family business leadership transition.
