What is it about?

This article gives an idea of achieving different characteristics by a single antenna using two switches. Two separate modes were excited and merged to obtain a wideband operation.

Why is it important?

In present time when there are so many wireless applications to be used, different devices are required to work on different frequencies of operation. A single device can also be used if it is made suitable for agility. This reduces the cost of overall system, size and the time delay to switch over. A similar kind of work is presented in this article.

Perspectives

Two very simple and popular radiators are used in this work and the corresponding modes do not interfere with each other hence simplicity and freedom of design frequencies are the advantages of this work.
