Why is it important?

Analytically explained the 1908 Tunguska phenomenon as a result of entry of cosmic body, a large meteoroid, (velocities more 10-20 km/s) into the Earth's atmosphere, accompanied by aerodynamic "explosion" (due to its aerodynamic crushing and lateral expansion of crushed mass), generation of a hot plasma. It makes evident the creating protection of the Earth against impacts of large cosmic bodies.

Perspectives

We are attempting to predict large solar/ stellar flares generated by cometary impacts.
