What is it about?

Agricultural advisors who work with the USDA are well-situated to help farmers adapt to climate change. Using climate and weather information in their professional services can help them do that. This article looks at what USDA-FSA employees think about climate change and extreme weather, and how this does or does not influence their intention to use more climate and weather data in the future.

We don't know a lot about how agricultural advisors share information related to weather and climate with their clients. This research helps us understand what USDA-FSA employees think about these important issues. Our findings point towards federal employee openness to professional development opportunities related to weather and climate change.
