What is it about?

Parenting is not only a private and family issue. It is currently a political issue. In my work, I explain the way this policy is emerging and impacting French family policies.

Why is it important?

Parenting is a very demanding and challenging work which necessitates time and attention. Nowadays, it is also considered as a source of problems. Political actors, experts and media contribute to this construction of parents as the problem. We adopt a critical perspective on this policy framing.
