What is it about?

The Aid for Trade mobilized financial resources. These resources were spent on various projects not always related to trade. To make matters worse, showing results proved challenging. To preserve resource mobilization, the WTO is expanding the scope of the Initiative to new areas remotely related to trade. This won't restore confidence. Instead the WTO should narrow the scope of the Initiative and make it more efficient.
