What is it about?
In order to prepare an upcoming mission, we had to ensure the survival of the inocula of Euglena gracilis over a months-long waiting period. The specific conditions of the experiment did not allow to use established methods, so we developed a new one. This is not only helpful in our case, but also for economic cell storage for biotechnological applications, transport of cells, or backup in culture collections.
