The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of crotamine, using different exposure times and concentrations, on the quality of in vitro fertilized bovine embryos to assess developmental competence and gene expression.

Why is it important?
These results indicate that crotamine can translocate intact in vitro fertilized bovine embryos and its application in the culture medium is possible at concentrations from 0.1–10 M for 6–24 h.
