What is it about?

Penguin colonies in the Antarctic supply lare amounts of nitrogen to the surrounding vegetation resulting in higher nutrient content of the mosses and lichens. This high nitrogen content of the mosses and lichens in turn supports a higher abundance of springtails and mites.
