What is it about?

Do community-based conservation (CBC) programs work? We find that those in Kenya with lodges as economic drivers lodges delivering direct benefits to the communities controlled non-tourism development better than CBCs without any tourism incentives. We use simple interpretation of freely available very high resolution satellite imagery to document changes in land use metrics.
