Why is it important?
It points out an effective way of improving electromagnetic acceleration. It is well-known that powerfull electromagnetic (EM) wave is usually more expensive to be prepared than DC field. If using cheaper DC field can play a role alike increasing EM wave, it is obviously more efficient.
