What is it about?

This article explores what people think about frailty and what it means to them. We spoke to healthcare professionals, older adults, and family caregivers about their experiences of getting older and their perceptions of trying to prevent their health from getting any worse.

Why is it important?

This is important because we don't really know people's thoughts about frailty, how different features of our lives play into decisions we make about healthcare, and our approach to ageing. We look at the significance of people's living space, geographical surroundings, their relationships with family and friends, and healthcare professionals' and family members' experiences of caring for older adults.
