We look at the relationship between exposure to a horrific trauma event and decision making.

Why is it important?

We are interested in health outcomes, and many of the chronic diseases most likely to lead to higher disability and death are associated with health behaviors. Health behaviors are essentially decisions individuals make between immediate gratification and long term rewards (like eating a donut vs. a salad).
