Why is it important?

Parasitic diseases especially those in the tropical regions affect mainly the poor populations. Discovery of safer, cheaper and more potent agents against this diseases is in dire need. Therefore, as much information as possible is needed to identify these bioactive compounds either from natural or synthetic sources. The article will serve as a compiled repository of PTs for use of researchers (as well as relevant agencies) working with this group of molecules against parasitic infections.
