Why is it important?
My book, which gave rise to the exchange with Professor Cunningham, is a full-length study of the work of C.B. Macpherson which aims to show that his ideas can contribute significantly to contemporary political thought.
Perspectives
This article seeks to address criticisms advanced by Professor Cunningham and to justify the approach used in the book: that there is a significant if suppressed philosophical dimension to C.B. Macpherson's work.
