Why is it important?
This research is the first work that integrates stratigraphical, geomorphological, neotectonic and geochronological data in an effort to determine the linkage between climate and tectonics in this portion of Central Pre-Andes of South America. It also synthetize the present state of the art on the subject and provide 6 new radiocarbon ages in a location in which Quaternary studies are very scarce.
