What is it about?

Obsidian lens conserved in the Mineralogical Gallery of the Museum Nat. d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris had loose its story. It was analysed in PIXE technique and we have discovered it come from the Mullumica obsidian source in Ecuador. By other way, we found the story of a famous obsidian mirror send to Paris from Quito in 1737 by astronomers of the Godin-La Condamine expedition in viceroyalty of Peru. This article describe this research story.
