Boundary conditions and vortex wandering

What is it about?

Vortices are known to move randomly in both wind tunnel studies and in simulations. This work showed that this motion doesn't really affect the vortex development, but can have a serious impact on measurements collected. Also, the wandering was shown to be a direct consequence of the presence of walls nearby.
