Why is it important?

Following IDSA guidelines for SAB can result in improved care of these patients.

Perspectives

SAB can result in significant morbidity and mortality. IDSA guidelines for the management of SAB assist clinicians with appropriate management principles. Not following the IDSA guidelines can result in increased morbidity and mortality.
