Why is it important?

This is the first study on Berber language acquisition, particularly on the Tashlhiyt variety spoken in Southern Morocco. This language is well known for its phonotactics and morphophonological alternations but has never been studied from an acquisition perspective. The present paper fills this long-standing gap in Berber studies.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. I hope the article will encourage researchers to study language acquisition in Berber.
