Chapter 6 provides a detailed description and performance details of the two one hundred ton displacement test craft. It details the performance data and the stability data of both craft and compares such theory and test data with the requirements. The chapter concludes with a summary of the applicable test craft results to a frigate size ship based on the same principles.

Why is it important?
There are no other books in the public domain that details the data from both test craft and compares that data to the requirements for a large scale ship planned for naval missions. It also documents the many designs changes needed in one test craft to achieve many of the original goals. Such documentation of the various successes and some failed design features provide an important data base for futue high speed ship designers.
