What is it about?

Thrust vector control system is part of guidance system applied on missiles. Flight control force is generated by redirection of jet of combustion products of applied propulsor. Different techniques and designs of those devices for jets manipulation, are widely applied. The type with jet tabs is simple and robust, but low efficient system. Geometry parameters of jet flow space in this system are crucial for they efficiency. In this work are given results of theoretical and experimental examination of main influential geometry parameters.

Why is it important?

Main influential geometry parameters are broadly examined experimentally. Also is described CFD methods of simulation of those processes, which enables further optimization and design with reduction of research cost.
