What is it about?
Numerical simulation of high enthalpy compresible flows of dissociated air through a water-cooled De Laval nozzle. A single domain is used to solve the conjugate heat transfer processes, comprising convection at the gas side, conduction through the metalic wall, and convection at the liquid side. Properties of air and water are corrected as temperature varies. Ansys Fluent is used for such simulations.

Why is it important?
A conjugate heat transfer problem between rei flows separated by a wall is usually solved with two ir three coupled domains, with increasing time and errors due to the interactions. The approach with a single domain presented in this study decreases the time and cumulated numerical errors.
