What is it about?

Microstrip patch antenna is used in portable devices of wireless communication systems. To fulfill the need of modern communication systems, microstrip patch antenna is required to be compact and working for multi frequency operations.

Why is it important?

Microstrip patch antenna has several advantages like, small size, easy integration capabilities with RF components, low manufacturing cost etc. With some modifications the microstrip patch antennas show compactness, multi frequency operation, circular polarization, broadband operation etc. All of these features are very much important for modern wireless communication systems.
