Why is it important?

Helps understand Islamism in the Jewish state and some political methods used by segments of the Palestinian minority in Israel. It is based on original research an includes interviews on the Islamic Movement and the outlaw process.

Perspectives

This article comes at a time when the clash between Islamist movements and their mother or host states has been intensifying in many Middle East countries and has become central to recent scholarship on Islamism, especially since the so called “Arab Spring.” This article contributes to the understanding of Islamist movements’ dynamics and their challenges through the examination of Islamism in Israel.
