What is it about?
Firefighters are on duty for many vital functions, including fire extinguishing, search and rescue works, and evacuation of disaster victims to a safe zone. In any disaster, the fire department is the first institution to call. This study was aimed to identify the willingness of firefighter candidates to work in different disasters after graduation and the factors associated with their willingness. We found that willingness of the students to work in nuclear accident and contagious disease disasters lower that compared to other disaster types.

However, little is known about firefighters and firefighter candidates’ willingness to work in a disaster.
