Why is it important?

This article examines the parameters of Dynamic Systems Theory one by one and demonstrates why it is a particularly apt framework for understanding the Online Informal Learning of English (OILE).

Perspectives

This was a fundamental article in establishing the field of the Online Informal Learning of English (OILE). It provoked a thoughtful reaction from David Little (2015, Apliut), further to which I tackled the question again in a 2017 publication with Laurent Perrot. I don't think this is the final word on this debate.
