What is it about?

Symbiotics have been reported to be able to improve gut permeability and modulate the immunologic system, thereby decreasing postoperative complications. Therefore, this paper examines if these products are able to improve intestinal function and clinical outcomes in patients with head and neck cancer who underwent surgical treatment. The news is that our patients did not undergo major abdominal surgery, which stands out this work from those found in the literature.
