What is it about?
In this manuscript, I found evidence for an observed trade-off between child labor and educational performance of children. According to this study, at relatively low levels of child working hours per week educational attainment of a child increase with work .This is because Work enables children to meet their basic needs,. Beyond some turning point, however, educational attainment of a child decline with work mainly because high levels of child working hours per week lowers school attendance of child and frequent absent in school and hence lower grade attainment of a child. Thus in the study area I found a inverted u shape relationship between child labor hours and human capital formation

Why is it important?
There are mixed results concerning the consequence of child labor. Some argued that child labor is good because it generates income for the family, but others said child labor is not good because it affects accumulation of human capital. Thus, this paper tried to merge these two different extremists on child labor.
