What is it about?

This article describes a simple allylic amination reaction promoted by copper(I).

Featured Image

Why is it important?

The reaction is important as : (a) Reagent is prepared by in-situ reduction of copper(II) perchlorate by copper. (b) Provides selectivity in ratio of regiomers of allylic amines prepared through such reactions.

Perspectives

The mildness, selectivity C-N bond formation from C-Cl bonds are of general interest.
