What is it about?

We confirm the prediction of Henderson, Chappell & Jones (1987) that human neutrophil do have voltage-gated proton channels. These channels respond to arachidonic acid, and have properties consistent with their proposed role in compensating for the electrogenic activity of NADPH oxidase.
